程久保高中棒球部的女经理宫田夕纪（川口春奈 饰）因病住院，虽然所负责的是一支万年垫底球队，但是夕纪仍对其时时挂念。感受到了夕纪的心意，长久以来的好友川岛南（前田敦子 饰）临时上阵担任了球队的经理。小南雄心勃勃，发誓要带着球队闯入甲子园，可是球队的现状是有的人出工不出力、有的计划转往他部，内部更是危机频现，矛盾重重。偶然机会，小南得到了管理学巨匠彼得•杜拉克的名著《管理学：任务，责任，实践》，她将企业的管理经验融入到球队的打理中来，半死不活的球队竟意外展现出别样的生机。杜拉克帮助小南朝着甲子园又迈进了一步……
本片根据岩崎夏海的同名原著改编。。Jan and Gedda have been married to each other for a long time in the Beentjes of Sint-Hildegard. They have known each other for a very long time, Gedda always tries to be one step ahead of Jan. Jan longs for more freedom. When his father-in-law dies, he wants to do something about that suffocating relationship. But then the first signs of Alzheimer's begin to manifest in Jan.。
