黛咪·摩尔饰演活在两个世界的人，一个是人在纽约的单身职业女性玛迪；一个是已丧夫、与两个女儿居住在法国乡镇的温文女性玛莉。两个人在梦中发现身份对调，梦想与现实经历时而交错，令两人经历另一段爱情，玛迪与痴心艾郎相恋，玛莉爱上作家威廉，两段情愈来愈真实，梦境好像很有质感，令二开始陷入这个双重世界……。Two young men (Jon Cryer, Rick Stear) who have been friends since early childhood decide to go on a trip to find a third friend (Rafael Baez) who has long since disappeared. Stories they have heard indicate that the friend has been seen in an apparently rambling, incoherent state at Coney Island. Their trip leads them to a number of adventures involving the otherworld-like life...。
