该剧讲述在经历人生下坡期的时候，才觉悟到“什么事都无法做成”的，竭力向往做到最佳的普通人们的故事。讲述一事无成的40岁女性，和害怕自己好像什么事都做不成的27岁男性的故事。。童年时代，一场凶猛的洪水让年幼的允熙（成宥利 饰）体会到了死神擦肩而过的恐怖滋味，所幸允熙得到了弟弟的救助才得以保住性命，但是弟弟却在洪水中失去了年轻的生命。这一段灰暗而伤痛的回忆一直折磨着允熙，甚至在成年之后，允熙依然保留着下雨天绝不出门的习惯，她的生活也因此而陷入了困境之中。
一次偶然中，一个名叫镇浩（李柱胜 饰）的不良少年抢走了允熙的钱包，而在钱包里，留有允熙关于弟弟唯一也是最后的回忆。之后，允熙再度和镇浩相遇了，在镇浩的身上，她看到了自己的影子，面对同样承受着痛苦的镇浩，允熙决定迈出勇敢的一步。。The physician's death orphans his two adolescent daughters.
