本作的两个主角，一位是喜欢山林的年轻小伙，一位是喜欢大海的妙龄少女。二人的故事交替进行，如平行线般贯穿全片。没有终点也没有相交，每一集都是一个独立的故事。男女主角每集都在深山中，在江海边进行野营，一顶帐篷，一套炊具，一些食材，一堆篝火，一辆汽车，就是这些人出行的全部家当。他们支起帐篷，摆上座椅，点起一堆篝火，在青烟袅袅中，或是看书放松；或是在吊床上休憩；或是和遇见的路人交流，互帮互助；或是用自带的食材野炊，享受美食，享受绿色与蔚蓝。。一个无辜的男人被控告攻击了一位老太太。他没有不在场证据，而唯一的证人也就是那位老太太在几天后死去。结果他被关进监狱，和一群职业罪犯住在一起。在经历了各种屈辱之后他能在这个恶劣的环境中生存下去吗？他会有哪些改变呢？。The series tells the story of an extended family and four young people who are drawn into the world of ska and two-tone music, which exploded from the grassroots of Coventry and Birmingham in the late 70s and early 80s, uniting black, white, and Asian youths.
