林院长乡下义诊时救下一个女学生，女学生林雨菲千恩万谢，说自己考上了医科大学，以后也要像院长一样救死扶伤。林院长称赞林雨菲的品性，愿意出钱资助林雨菲上大学，并说自己要是也有这样一个女儿就好了。一晃四年过去，林雨菲大学毕业了……。Edwin Antony (Hywel Bennett) is emasculated in an accident which kills a young philanderer.
