Four prisoners escape and seek refuge in a Cistercian monastery, where nothing is what it seems. Isolated from the rest of the world, begins a nightmare among the fugitives, willing to kill to protect their freedom and monks whose hostages.。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee).
