SYNOPSIS
Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. He has decided to leave, but a snow avalanche is crushed in the mountains, making it impossible for him to leave. Soon, inspector has found a body of a dead lodger. This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。刘宋元嘉年间，天下积弊积弱，监国刘义康羽翼未丰，为改变时局，他暗中蛰伏，邂逅了正义善良的骊歌，两人联合智斗为害一方的士族陆家，情愫暗生。为打破士庶隔阂，刘义康联姻将门沈家，此人恰是骊歌。刘义康心怀天下，推新政以安民，拔庶族、劝学兴农等措施触及士族利益。面对士族凌威，伉俪二人联手制敌，却先后遭到氏族势力打压，内忧外患接踵而至，刘义康被逼至绝境。骊歌始终陪伴在侧，辅佐他力挽狂澜、推行新政，两人的感情浴火弥坚，最终开创了一片盛世昌荣。。古老的北京城，中年男子孙子旺（梁冠华 饰）和妻子杨喜莲（杨瑞霞 饰）过着平凡的生活。一封当年插队恋人秀儿的来信，将孙子旺夫妇本就危机重重的婚姻彻底摧毁。原来信中秀儿提及曾生养一对龙凤双胞胎，因无力抚养和社会的压力而将孩子送人。肩负秀儿的嘱托，孙踏上了寻找孩子的旅途，几经辗转却得知孩子们早就被人领养送到了美国。
孙在美国找到插队时的好友张大年（王伯昭 饰），可是张似乎对其寻子之事并不热忱。一番辛苦过后，孙终于找到分别过这不同生活的两个孩子福兰克（王骁 饰）和安琪拉（安雅 饰）。他的到来，似乎又让这两个过早经历太多人世艰辛的孩子体味到更多的痛苦……。
