特别调查课的宗旨在于保护国民的税金，防止被其它部门滥用。有着欺诈经验的芯子在这里可谓发挥了她的专长，而她的到来无疑改变着调查课。在这里有曾经热血如今淡漠的金田铁男（桐谷健太 饰），有新进的年轻后辈工藤优（冈田将生 饰），还有她曾经骗婚的对象角松一郎（大泉洋 饰）等。和这些性格各异的同事工作，在改变他们的同时，芯子也在被改造中……。
