在繁忙的超级市场内发生爆炸，警方炸弹组发现最近找到的炸弹几乎都是同一款式，于是成立一个专案小组专门调查。Peter（刘青云 饰）与John（黄秋生 饰）都是拆炸弹的专家，都拥有众多的女朋友。某天两人同时在酒吧认识了女侍应Mary（关咏荷 饰），也同时爱上了Mary。一次三人喝醉后竟然睡在了同一张床上，之后Mary怀孕了，却不知道谁才是孩子的爸爸。Peter跟John都认为自己就是孩子的父亲，都开始重视女友也重视自己。但炸弹狂徒却被拆弹专家在电视上的讲话刺激了，决定了下一个目标就是这两个拆弹专家……。Oliviero is a burned-out writer, living at his estate near Venice, his dead mother dominating his imagination.
